The processing is done locally, keeping income and economic benefit within the farming communities. The operation is 100% zero waste — every part of the coconut is used, and the processing water is recycled.
Invico pays farmers more than 20% above market rates — a commitment to fair trade that goes beyond certification labels. And through their 'Covico Cares' programme, 2% of every purchase is channelled back into source villages for school, healthcare, and community development initiatives.

The Science of Coconut Milk — What MCTs Actually Do
Coconut milk is remarkable not just for its flavour and texture, but for its unique fatty acid profile. Approximately 50% of the fat in coconut milk is lauric acid — a medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) with properties that distinguish it from almost every other dietary fat.
To understand why MCTs matter, you need to understand how different fats are processed by the body. Long-chain triglycerides (found in most oils and animal fats) require complex digestion: they are emulsified by bile salts, packaged into chylomicrons, transported through the lymphatic system, and only reach the liver hours after consumption.
MCTs are different. They are absorbed directly through the gut wall into the portal vein and transported directly to the liver, where they are used immediately for energy production or converted to ketones — an alternative fuel source for the brain and muscles.
